Benefits of NAIA Membership

NAIA maintains a limited, but very important number of memberships in other organizations. Each membership brings specific benefits to individual NAIA members. Currently, NAIA is a member of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance (CAIA) and the National Seafood Sector Council (NSSC).

CAIA

CAIA is a national industry association, headquartered in Ottawa, and it represents the interests of Canadian aquaculture operators, feed companies and suppliers, as well as provincial finfish and shellfish aquaculture associations. NAIA sits on the CAIA Board of Directors.

NSSC

The NSSC develops industry-specific training courses designed to meet the needs of the Canadian seafood-processing sector. NAIA members will gain access to up-to-date, relevant training by qualified instructors. Courses are developed based on industry set voluntary standards. Participants receive national industry certification.
